    王会军,男,博士,研究员,中国科学院院士,挪威技术科学院院士,中国气象学会理事长。曾经获得国家杰出青年基金、何梁何利科学与技术进步奖。现任南京信息工程大学学术委员会主任、气象学部主任、气候与气象灾害协同创新中心主任、《大气科学学报》主编。

     王会军1964年1月生。1986年毕业于北京大学地球物理系,被推荐进入中国科学院大气物理研究所攻读硕士和博士学位;并于1991年获得博士学位;1996年被特批为研究员。现为中国气象学会理事长、WCRP中国委员会主席、《科学通报》副主编、《Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters》主编、中国科学探险学会副理事长。曾担任《Advances in Atmospheric Sciences》主编、国际气候变率及可预测性研究计划(CLIVAR)亚澳季风工作组AAMP委员、世界气象组织热带气象委员会东亚季风工作组EAMP委员。2003年,与挪威著名科学家Ola Johannessen教授共同创立了竺可桢-南森国际研究中心。

      发表国内外核心期刊学术论文240余篇,其中150余篇为SCI(E)收录论文。发表的论文被SCI(E)收录论文引用2000多次。获得过国家自然科学奖二等奖两次(分别为第1完成人、第2完成人)、中国科学院自然科学奖一等奖(第5完成人)、2010年度卢嘉锡优秀研究生导师奖(全国10名)、全国优秀科技工作者等荣誉。培养的博士毕业生中有4人荣获中国科学院优秀博士学位论文奖,1人荣获全国优秀博士学位论文奖,1人荣获中国青年科技奖和国家杰出青年基金项目、1人荣获国家自然科学基金首届优秀青年基金项目。

      主要研究方向:古气候模拟与气候变化、东亚季风气候变异及其预测。
